Those who see me on a daily basis have noticed how impeccable my nails always look. I give my manicurist Jeff (owner of BaSi Nail Salon here in Philadelphia center city) all the credits he deserve. However if you ask me about the real secret I keep, I would say Tea Tree Oil.
With the busy schedule I keep, sometimes I can't make it to my once a week appointment. In order to keep my cuticles in shape I soak my hands in warm water infused with a couple drops of Tea Tree Oil.
Tea Tree oil is 100% pure Pharmaceutical Grade. It's a steam distilled from the leaves of the tea tree species. Tea tree oil is a powerful yet natural antiviral, antibacterial medicine. It is being used as a highly effective first aid remedy and beauty regiment.
I personally use it as a beauty regiment on my skin and cuticles.
In a bowl, set a couple stones or pebbles on the bottom ( this keeps the water warm longer )
Fill the bowl up half way with water
squirt a few drops of Tea tree oil
soak hands for 5 minutes
dry hands and apply lotion
By doing this in between my appointments, my hands and nails are smoother and my nail beds and cuticles are getting stronger.
Enjoy~ Happy Monday!
