Nail Perfection

I am a nail polish addict, and I enjoy getting my nails done. But going to the salon once a week can add up my expense.. so when I just need a polish change I try to do it myself... the problem is that I always make a mess when it comes to painting my nails...

Everyone knows when you dye your hair you put petroleum jelly along your hairline to prevent stains, so why not do the same with your cuticles??

By putting petroleum jelly around your cuticles before painting your nails, it makes the stains a lot easier to remove :) No more over use of polish remover = dry nails

Happy painting!

Lost In A Mist

Happy Saturday loves~! Since I moved to NYC a couple of months ago, life has been interesting. Lots of amazing opportunities here in NYC and lots of internship opportunities here for you to gain experience and work towards what you love. SOOOO many amazing opportunities here which is why I have to constantly remind myself: Try not to be tempted by jobs that won’t get you to your goal.

We don’t work in fashion for the money, or the power, or the fame, right? We work in fashion because we love it. So keep working on projects you love—-or keep working towards getting those gigs—and your path will become totally clear. Just like mine did :)

I worked on a photoshoot yesterday with some Aamazing people. I posted some sneak peak behind the scene looks on my facebook, twitter and instagram (thehappycheeks). The official blog post of the experience will be up tomorrow! In the mean time have a happy weekend!

Blister Fixer

Ok I suck at taking pictures, but the above are some shoes that I have been trying to wear regularly in the past few month since I purchased them back in November... however what's been keeping me away from them (especially the leopard flats), is the painful blisters I get after just an hour of wearing them!

After much pain, popped blisters, peeled skins, and lots of lost blood (bleh) I suddenly remembered the one trick I use to use back in High School - Deodorant!

Yes, apply a small layer of deodorant on the spot where you blister, or on the inner of your shoes where blisters form, and woah-lah~ Pain free! Try it and let me know if it works for you :)
